Country Gentlemen
Recorded in early 1972, Live In Japan features one of the strongest lineups of the Country Gentlemen with Charlie Waller, Doyle Lawson, Bill Yates and Bill Emerson. There is literally something for everyone on this album. The Gentlemen performed several bluegrass classics on the stage in Japan including favorites like "Little Bessie," "Foggy Mountain Breakdown," "Train 45 and "East Virginia Blues" But it also showcased their ability to bring songs from other genres of music and make them bluegrass hits, such as The Beatles "Yesterday," Bob Dylan's "Walking Down the Line" and "Country Roads." A wonderful live album from a band at the top of its game!
