Dave Evans’ recordings have been consistently good, showcasing a vocal talent that is one of the most distinctive and soulful in bluegrass music. This 11-song collection is an attractive reissue of an album originally in the mid-1990s for the Neon label of Kentucky. There is some fine traditional bluegrass here, featuring five of Dave’s original songs, plus excellent versions of “Next Sunday Darling is My Birthday” and “I Still Miss Someone.”
