Best of The Vetco Years (2008)

Dave Evans

Known for picking banjo with artists like Red Allen, Earl Taylor, Larry Sparks and the Boys From Indiana, Dave Evans cut two outstanding albums for Lou Ukelson's Vetco label out of Cincinnati, Ohio in the late 1970s before joining Rebel. 15 of the best numbers from these albums appear on this incredible collection, including his iconic version of “99 Years Is Almost For Life,” as well as four of his own compositions, among them “Highway 52” and “When the Snow Falls on My Foggy Mountain Home.”
