Jeremy Stephens
Twenty years after releasing his first solo album on Rebel Records, Scarlet Banjo, Jeremy Stephens is back with his second solo effort, How I Hear It. Whether it is a blistering banjo instrumental such as “Sockeye,” a cross-picking mandolin showcase like “Lady Hamilton,” or the tasteful guitar stylings in “You’ll Be Lonesome Too,” Stephens’s admirable versatility and mastery of each instrument are on full display. Stephens has assembled a top-notch band to join him here on the proceedings as well, with friends Hunter Berry, Mike Bub and David Grier – as well as his wife and fellow HiFi bandmate Corrina Rose Logston – all helping out. This 14-song album is sure to delight lovers of traditional bluegrass!
