Two great early albums (now out of print) have been combined into this one budget release that includes most of the very best performances by this innovative group.  The first of the band’s work for Rebel appeared on LP in 1983, and included such songs as “Hills of Alabam,” “Go My Way,” “The Singer” and their memorable version of “Wabash Cannonball”—all of these songs are here in their original versions, combined with some wonderful cuts from the later recording, Lines & Traces:  “Hard Times,” “Natchez Trace, “I Found You” and “Some Morning Soon.” A great and important collection
